THE MEETING IS OPEN TO EVERYONE. PLEASE COME OUT AND GET INVOLVED! THE 2020 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE WILL BE FORMED.
FOR ALL WHO ATTEND, A $25 AGM DISCOUNT WILL BE APPLIED TO THEIR 2020 REGISTRATION FEES


Every autumn, we have our AGM where we review the past season and form the upcoming season's executive committee.

WASAGA BEACH MINOR BASEBALL NEEDS MORE VOLUNTEERS TO JOIN THE EXECUTIVE

The more volunteers we have, the smoother things run. It allows us to grow and be able to offer things like the indoor winter training and the upcoming Tyke Select Team.  Not only do we need to fill more positions on the executive, the present members will need to be replaced over time.  Your kids need you to step up!


The executive position descriptions can be found in the WBMBA Constitution.


PRESIDENT: (Bob Pozzebon) Presides over meetings.  Liason to SSMBA.  Oversees management of the association

1ST VICE PRESIDENT: (Mike Moore) Organizes coaches and scheduling activities.

2ND VICE PRESIDENT: (vacant) Oversees bond hour requirements

TREASURER: (Stacey Heittola) Manages financial side of the association

REGISTRAR: (Scott Bradley) is appointed by the president to oversee registration of players and teams

SECRETARY: (vacant) is responsible for minutes at meetings and communication involving the association

EQUIPMENT/UNIFORM MANAGER: (Robbie Broad/Stacey Heittola) Handles the inventory and distribution of equipment

DIRECTOR AT LARGE: ​(Allan Brownridge) Performs various duties as requested by the President

UMPIRE IN CHIEF: (Bob Jackson) Handles all things associated with the umpiring of games.

SPONSORSHIP CHAIR: (vacant) Is in charge of finding new and maintaining past sponsors.
FUNDRAISING CHAIR: 
(vacant) Is in charge of organizing fundraising opportunities

*BANQUETS CHAIR: (Stacey Heittola) Manages the organization of banquets and running them.

*WEBSITE MANAGER: (Mike Moore) Creates and updates the website.  Posts photos, etc.

The entire executive team works together on fulfilling the duties required to run the WBMBA.  Many of them wear multiple hats and no one is left on their own to perform their roles.  We all work as a TEAM.  This past season, we had many vacant positions.  Many of the executive stepped in to get these duties done.  The sponsorship chair position was vacant and the executive were limited on how much attention could be given to sponsors.  That translated into a lot of money lost that could have been spent on equipment and resources for the kids! The same goes for the Fundraising Chair position.  

 

This is definitely a time commitment but very rewarding.  Some positions require less time to perform or are busier at certain times of the season.  If you would like more information, email us and start a conversation.  Maybe there is something that suits your availability.
